This very rare bird spent several months at Sedgeford in Norfolk over the winter of 2019/2020, and proved very popular with birdwatchers. I went to see it in December, and painted this study of it in characteristic pose on its favourite manure heap!
An original painting in acrylic on watercolour paper, measuring about 8 x 6 inches (20 x 15cm), and presented in a cream mount to fit an A4 frame.
