Linocut Prints
Linocut printing is a technique which involves cutting a design into a block of lino or vinyl, inking the block and then printing it onto paper using a press or rubbing on the back of the paper with an object such as a wooden spoon. The resulting image can then be hand coloured, using paint to highlight details, or left as a simple black and white image. The process is quite labour intensive, and a multi block print can take several days to cut and print.
